Keep Awake
Keep awake stops your computer from going to sleep for a time that you select. Use it for long builds, downloads, test runs or AI sessions. On macOS it runs the built-in caffeinate tool.
Start Keep Awake
- Click the cup icon in the header. The header shows on all pages.
- Select a duration: 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h or Until off. Until off keeps the computer awake until you stop it or quit the app.
Keep awake starts immediately. The cup icon becomes green and shows a small dot. Hover over the icon to see the time that remains.
You can also use the menu: DevWorkspace Pro → Keep Mac Awake on macOS, or Tools → Keep Computer Awake on Windows and Linux. The menu has the same durations, and it works when the main window is closed.
Keep Display On
| Setting | Default | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Keep display on | On | The computer and the display stay on |
| Keep display on | Off | The computer stays on. The display can sleep. |
The app remembers this setting.
Stop Keep Awake
- Click the cup icon, then click Let it sleep.
- Or select Keep Mac Awake → Let It Sleep in the menu.
Keep awake also stops:
- When the duration ends.
- When you quit DevWorkspace Pro. On macOS,
caffeinatestops also if the app stops unexpectedly.
TIP
Keep awake does not stop sleep when you close the lid of a laptop.
